The framework for Painted Hills was to create a landscape with saturated, primary colors not necessarily where you would expect them to be.
Each color-band leads forward and backward into the painting encouraging eye movement.
The goal is to capture the attention with color and form.
This style of painting is a slight divergence from my usual black outlines of bold stained glass shapes.
I relied more on color families and textures to achieve definition.
